Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) on Thursday announced it would offer dedicated data plans for iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G in India, beginning January 28.
All data plans will be available without a contract, providing the freedom to activate or cancel a plan at any time.
iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G models are 0.5 inches thick — thinner and lighter than any laptop or netbook — and deliver up to 10 hours of battery life.
“We are thrilled to provide data plans for iPad in India,” said Gopal Das, CMD of BSNL, adding that the company’s customised plan for iPad users will ensure users experience the best 3G and data services while enjoying iPad on BSNL’s high-speed network. (Agencies)

BSNL has Re-launch the Broadband Promotional scheme which allow users “15 days unlimited free download  at 2Mbps” and waiver of Installation charges to the new customers registering their Broadband connection during the period 15 September 2010 to 15 November 2010.The scheme is applicable for all BSNL Circles around the country.
BSNL “15 days Unlimited Free Download” scheme terms:
All the customers registering their new Broadband connection from 15 September 2010 to 15 November 2010 under any BSNL Broadband Plan of up to 2Mbps speed (limited/unlimited) shall be provided unlimited free download at 2Mbps for first fifteen (15) days, irrespective of the speed of the plan he/she applied for.
The customers applying for Limited Plans shall not be charged for their download for first fifteen (15) days of activation of their broadband connection and those applying for Unlimited Plans with download speed less than 2 Mbps shall get the benefit of increased download speed Upto 2Mbps.
The scheme of free download shall terminate automatically after the first 15 days after which the connection shall be reverted to the registered plan and change In Plan. If any desired by the customer shall be noted and implemented as per existing provisions.
No Installation charges shall be payable by the customer for the BB connection registered during the currency of instant scheme i.e, from 5 September 2010 to 15 November 2010 .These charges stand already waived off up to 15 November 2010.
Usual Monthly Plan charges for the opted Broadband plan and Fixed Monthly charges for the Modern (In case Modem is taken on hire basis from BSNL)shall be payable during the promotional period i.e. 15 days free download period.
Minimum period of hire for customers availing this scheme shall be a period of one month, including the free download period.
The Promotional scheme is effective from 15 September 2010 to 15 November 2010.
In addition with “15 days Unlimited Free Download” scheme, BSNL has introduced Games on Demand (GoD) and Music and Video on Demand (MOD) packages for selected telecom circles.

Free Games on Demand (GoD) casual package worth Rs.100/- per month for 30 days to all new broadband customers registering during 15 September 2010 to 15 November 2010.
Free Music and Video on Demand (MOD) package worth Rs.149/- per month for 30 days to all new broadband customers registering during 15 September 2010 to 15 November 2010.

With the biggest celebrations of India the Independence Day coming up, BSNL today announced the launch of FREE 2G GSM SIM Card (32K / 64K) to customers on the EVE of Independence Day in Tamilnadu telecom circle.

The BSNL Free GSM SIM Card comes with 2000 SMS (Local/National SMS to any Network ) and 50 MB Free Mobile Internet Data usage (GPRS) free of cost whcih can be consumed with in 30 Days from the date of activation.

The offer will be available up to 31.08.10 and one can avail the SIM cards from BSNL Customer Service Centers across Tamilnadu circle.
