Opera has just released the Opera Mini 5.1, a new update to the popular Opera Mini 5. This new update significantly improvises users’ browsing experience through their mobile devices. It bundles up new facilities like an optimized browser skin which enables users to open more pages simultaneously, scroll through pages faster, and enjoy an improved browsing performance.
The company highly recommends the Opera Mini 5.1 to users of Nokia S40 feature phones like the trendy Nokia 5130 XpressMusic, Nokia 6300 and Nokia 2700 handsets, which make the scene with limited memory. It will also be beneficial for those who own a phone featuring a small screen size like Sony Ericsson K550i and Sony Ericsson W810i. Moreover, the upgrade augments the experience for users who have faced out-of-memory issues or had to reload open web pages while surfing with Opera Mini 5.
“The goal with Opera Mini is to make the Web available to anyone, anywhere, regardless of where they come from or the handset they have,” asserts Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software. “More than 61 million people on over 3000 devices have chosen to surf the Web with Opera Mini for fast and easy Internet access at a considerably lower cost.”
The Opera Mini browser compresses data by up to 90 percent before sending content to the device, resulting in faster page loading and better speed of the browser. By compressing the data, it considerably diminishes the data load while reducing the cost of browsing costs for users when they use pay-per-MB data plan, especially when on roaming.
To download the new Opera Mini 5.1, users can simply visit m.opera.com through their handset’s default browser. Subsequently, Opera will automatically choose the optimized version for the user’s phone.
