Google now enables users to find their local news on the smartphone. The feature is accessible by typing Google News from the browser of Android smartphone or iPhone.
First time users will see a pop up being displayed which will ask to share the location. On responding yes, all relevant news to the location will be displayed in a new section called ‘News near you.’ This section appearing at the bottom of the page can be reorganized. The feature can also be turned off.
To access the latest news, users have to visit news.google.com from their smartphones.
